Elora, Ontario
Residential
South River Pool
This property was designed to bring a Muskoka cottage feel to the heart of Centre Wellington. The yard flows down through multi-level limestone armour stone terraces to a modern 16’ x 36’ rectangular pool, surrounded by Unilock’s Metro pavers in Safari for a clean, timeless look. A natural stone slab staircase connects each level, leading from the upper deck to a semi-sunk firepit, perfect spot for quiet summer evenings.
The pool area serves as the main anchor at the base of the terrace, with plenty of space for lounging and entertaining. A custom-built pool shed provides both style and function, housing equipment while keeping the design and finishes cohesive with the rest of the property.
The planting design keeps things soft and natural with native and adaptive species, including North American redbuds that frame the new front entrance and driveway. Outdoor lighting ties everything together, highlighting the stonework and adding a warm glow after dark. The result is a space that feels refined yet relaxed—modern lines, natural materials, and that easy Muskoka atmosphere that makes it feel like a true getaway, right at home.

Lake Huron Cottage
This lakeside retreat blends natural materials with a modern, relaxed vibe. We reimagined the existing hardscaping using natural limestone armour stone to create structure that feels organic and timeless. The stone’s texture and scale fit perfectly into the shoreline setting, giving the property a sense of permanence and place.
Native trees were added to provide privacy and soften the edges, while hydrangeas (a nod to classic East Coast cottages) bring seasonal colour and a welcoming feel. The mix of stone and wood textures ties the landscape to its surroundings, creating an easy connection between the cottage and the lake.
At night, subtle outdoor lighting highlights pathways and key features, adding warmth, safety, and depth to the space. With Lake Huron’s waves as the backdrop, this design truly feels like a peaceful escape—natural, modern, and effortlessly inviting.

Bridge Street Front
This front yard transformation was all about creating clean lines, warm tones, and a welcoming feel that’s simple to maintain. We used Unilock’s U-Cara system for the retaining walls and raised beds, giving the space a crisp, modern structure without losing that natural charm. Unilock’s Beacon Hill pavers tie everything together, creating a smooth, seamless flow from the driveway up to the front porch.
The raised planters bring a nice sense of height and texture, filled with a mix of ornamental shrubs, grasses, and soft greenery to frame the home’s entrance. The combination of structured hardscaping and layered plantings creates balance and visual interest throughout the space.
With neutral, earthy tones that complement the home’s brick façade, the entire design feels cohesive and grounded. The result is a modern take on classic curb appeal. Clean, inviting, and built to last.
